WHAT TO DO
Losing a loved one will effect everyone differently, here at MD Lowe & Sons we pride ourselves on treating you and your loved ones in our care as individuals. We will guide you through the process and support you as required.
Here we have outlined some important areas to give consideration, if you prefer to talk through our process face to face then of course we will be with you every step of the way.

The first step in your loved ones final journey, call us on 0116 269 6975. We are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From this initial phone call we can advise on collection of your loved one and begin arranging the next steps.
REGISTER THE DEATH
The death has to be registered within FIVE days of the death occurring, this does not apply when the coroner is involved. The death has to be registered at the Registry Office for the district in which it took place. For example, if the death occurred in Leicester Royal Infirmary, the registration will be made at Leicester register office.

We have a range of services offered at MD Lowe & Sons. Our Funeral services start from just £1600. We can cater with special requests and always go above and beyond to ensure that your loved ones funeral is as special as they were.
ACCEPTING A LOSS?
Organising a Funeral is a busy time and often the lead up to the day of the funeral is a time when you are surrounded by loved ones and friends. Many find the time after the funeral most difficult, we will happily supply contact details of support groups and phone numbers of charities who offer bespoke services.
WHAT DOES MD LOWE & SONS DO?
We will come and collect your loved one, welcome them and you into our home until the time of their funeral. Your loved one can be visited in our Plumb Chapel. Our family will help you go through all of the arrangements, preparing your loved one for their final journey and of course we will guide you through the day of the funeral.
